No serious injuries, but it’s still not clear what happened when a small plane crashed yesterday on Texada Island.
Powell River RCMP say the pilot who was the only person on the Cessna when it went down around 2:30 in the afternoon. He walked away, and was able to get to nearby home where he was met by an ambulance crew. The took him to hospital for treatment of some minor injuries.
RCMP say it looks like the plane lost power as the pilot was conducting aerial surveys forcing the pilot to make a crash landing.
