Peace Bond ordered for VIJHL owner

One of the owners of a Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League team is under court orders to stay away from others in the league.

The Campbell River Storm’s Kevin Spooner threatened the owners of the Comox Valley Glacier Kings and their head coach in a dispute over the rights to a player.

Neil MacKenzie speaks for BC’s Criminal Justice Branch.

Spooner is now under orders to keep the peace and not communicate directly with the owners of the Glacier Kings. He also has to stay at least 10 metres away from them, and at least 500 metres from their homes.
