March is fraud awareness month, and Elder-U on the Sunshine Coast is planning a special course to help people “Recognize it. Report it. and Stop it”.
RCMP constable Jason Aho will focus on mass marketing fraud, identity theft and payment card fraud.
Aho says as well as teaching people to avoid being victims, RCMP are encouraging those who have been taken in to report it.
The Elder-U course runs for three Mondays starting March 2nd at the Capilano University Sechelt Campus.
